Location
This was mine and my partners first attempt at stacking macro shots. This was actually taken in our bathroom! With a pinned subject.Time
This was around noon. The light in my bathroom is the best in the house. That coupled with a flash ring and we were good to go!Lighting
Flash rings are a god send. Enough said.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 1300D, with a standard Canon lens, multiple extension tubes and a flash ring.Inspiration
It was more about getting interesting pinned specimens to photograph and stack. In the hopes of being able to stack a live insect in future.Editing
Simple editing from Lightroom was used to correct the white balance and bring out just a bit more detail. In my camera bag
I never leave to take a photo without my extension tubes. There versatility is invaluable when taking macro shots.Feedback
Light is so important! Flash rings are highly useful for macro photography, and extension tubes allow you more freedom of choice.
