A nice shot during sunset of the Muttart Conservatory in Edmonton, Alberta. After the rain the roof of this place fills up with these huge puddles, creating awesome reflections for photos.

Great shot of the Muttart pyramids and it's reflection. I have only shot the top of the Muttart once and that was doing some light painting. The reflection is a perfect mirror image. From a fellow YEG photographer

🤯 your shots are able to tick the wish list for something i have reflected on till I'm seeing double 🤣 are there any tips or recommendations for getting good results using a mobile phone camera for mirror/reflection shots or any accessories available for mobile phone photography that may help me thanks Jason

Location
This was taken on the roof top deck of the Muttart Conservatory in Edmonton, Alberta. There are 5 glass pyramids there.Time
That magic hour right before the sun goes down past the horizon. Sunset in Edmonton in the summer can be quite late sometimes before it gets like this. I believe this was nearly 10 or 10:30 at night. It stays light out very late in Edmonton, sometimes at midnight you can still see the sun shining in the far horizon.Lighting
Sunset was the perfect time for this. Since the rain had previously filled the roof top deck with water, I wanted to get there just at sunset to capture the perfect light reflections.Equipment
I shot this with a Nikon D610 using a Vanguard GT300 pistol grip tripod head.Inspiration
There have been many people who have gone to this spot to get similar photos. I wanted to go and try my hand at capturing the area in my own way.Editing
Post involved the typical quick adjustments in lightroom, then converted jpg. Nothig too spectacular was done.In my camera bag
Always have my vanguard tripod and gh300 tripod pistol grip head. Always will have a speedlight, my 50mm and a 24-85mm lens. Plus filters to boot. Extra batteries are a must as well as cleaning supplies.Feedback
Wait for a nice rain storm to flood the roof and go in the early morning. If youre there for sunset you will be more likely to have the place to yourself as opposed to if you go for sunset. Trust me...getting up early is worth it to go shoot this location. Be sure to clean up after yourself and be polite as well.
