I took this photo in my backyard.Time
I live in West Texas I took this picture about mid-morning I'm sitting in the backyard and doing a cup of coffee and I had my camera with me. I was going to take pictures of some of the flowers I planted bloom in the yard and then I saw the kitten in the tree stalking a bird.Lighting
The lighting is just a normal mid morning West Texas light. It seems to be the best time of day to take pictures because it's not too dark and it's not too bright set a time to work out perfectly.Equipment
I just use my Canon Rebel T 3. I didn't use anything special such as lenses or a tripod or a flash. I just simply nelt on the the ground steady my hands and took the picture.Inspiration
My inspiration for the picture was simply catching an animal doing what it naturally does the beauty of that moment. That kitten is one of the many that was feral that I feed in my back alley. I actually ended up with that kitten in my house. She used to follow me everywhere outside and she used to talk to me and when I didn't do what she wanted me to do she would yell at me. I named her the boss and I call her the boss of me in the house does to this day and she's now a couple years old she still walks around follows me everywhere and when I'm not doing what she wants me to do according going to bed when she wants me to go to bed so tell me off just like she did outside.Editing
I need nothing special for this picture I just took it and then uploaded it. I didn't feel there was anything I needed to do to it I like it just the way it was.In my camera bag
I usually just use my camera and the lens and it came with.Feedback
My advice for people trying to do something similar is it take some time and take pictures at different times during the day look at those pictures and decide which one has the best lighting it's going to bring you the best of what you're trying to capture naturally. Sometimes you don't have to do a lot of things to the picture and sometimes you don't have to have special lenses. Sometimes absolute beauty of what you were seeing in the moment is far greater then taking a picture that you have to do all sorts of things to in order to make it work the way you want other people to see it. More is not always better and in my case that was true I wanted to catch the beauty of the moment.
