Location
This photo was taken at my home, in my dining room with a black backdrop and window light. I'm a natural light photographer, so I self-taught and my source of light is sun light.Time
This is the model and mine favourite shots. We just simply like the expression and the look she has. I think it was taken around midday when the sun is above us and shine thru my backdoor window.Lighting
The sunlight on that day was bright just shine thru my backdoor window. I didn't give us a harsh highlight and shadow on the model face. It was all natural light.Equipment
I only used one camera. The shot was taken from my Sony Alpha 7 mark II and FE 50mm F1.4Inspiration
I have always want to take photo of anyone especially girl with ginger/red hair and freckles. I found they're very unique and beautiful and lucky for me I met this young model Teegan and she has what I've always looking for. I like taken head shot and I think that is my strongest skill at the moment. when it comes to head shot and as they always said, "eyes if the window of the soul" so i always remember to focus on the eyes and told the model to give me the expression to draw her eyes out.Editing
I used Lightroom to read the raw file, basic retouch and then brought it to photoshop to edit the skin and color of the photo. In my camera bag
I always carried with me Sony Alpha 7 mark II and FE 50mm F1.4, then FE 24-70 F2.8, 4 batteries, ND filter and a tripod. I'm a portrait photographer so I mainly used my portrait prime len.Feedback
I'm not good when it comes to giving advice or tips. I started my portrait photography since 2014 and I am still learning. There are so many technical things which I don't know off. I want to be good at what I'm doing so I just keep practice, before I take the shot. I picture what I want the shot to look like and asked the model to pose that look. Keep taking until I get the shot I wanted.
