A business trip turned out to be a nice opportunity to capture what I love the most. The beautiful ocean.

Behind The Lens

Location

The image was taken in Miami Beach, on the Gold Coast of Australia.

Time

It was taken at about 6:30 pm towards the end of winter.

Lighting

I saw the refection of the moon in the water so I got the last surfer in the water to stand between the camera and the light coming from the moon and the water. I wanted my model to be peach black, however his surfboard got some glair from the street lighting.

Equipment

I used a Manfrotto tripod, a Nikon D71000 and a Tokina 11-16mm F2.8

Inspiration

Nature and surfing.

Editing

I did color correction, White balance, Levels and some patching.
