Location
This photo was taken in Niagara Falls Ontario at Old Fort Erie. It was my first summer with my D800 and I was taking pictures of everything and had no idea what I was doing, but I loved it! :) You can read more about the location here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Fort_ErieTime
It was midday during a Historical re-enactmentLighting
Natural light.Equipment
I was using my Nikon D8100 with a AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR (A-f2.8 ISO100)Inspiration
When I sat down to watch the re-enactment they announced that they would be shooting the cannon. I was sitting there thinking there is no way I'm going to be able to get a good shot (because I was so green). The guy that was speaking looked over and said "If you want a picture of the camera going off, put your finger on the release and just wait" Sure enough the cannon went off, I jumped and hit the release and bam!! I had it... Pretty awesome :)Editing
No post- processing mostly because I had no clue lolIn my camera bag
I carry my Nikon D810 with a Tamron 150 to 600mm lens. I favor this lens for shooting birds it's such a sharp picture. I also carry a Nikon D800 with a Nikon 70 to 200mm lens mounted this is one of my favorite lenses it never disappoints I like to use it to shoot flowers and other inanimate objects.I also carry a Nikon 14-24mm.Feedback
Take the shot because you just never know :)
