Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas. It was sort of impromptu, but it has become one of my absolute favorite images.Time
This was late afternoon, and we were actually walking toward a different spot when I told my couple to "stop right there!!!" People were kind enough to not crowd around or walk in front of them while I took the shot.Lighting
this was taken at one end of the Fremont Street Experience, where part of the street is completely covered by ceiling of lights. In the evening, there's a terrific light show on the ceiling of the tunnel. This was right one end of this tunnel, and the sun was behind me, but I love that the sun was still lighting and drawing attention to the signage in the background, reminiscent of Old Vegas.Equipment
Shot with my Canon 5D and 50mm lens.Inspiration
I absolutely LOVE the old Vegas signage, and I love downtown. It just seemed like the perfect spot to show off my beautiful couple in front of a beautiful background.Editing
I definitely popped the colors, and I remember cloning out a couple of weird looking posts around the subjects. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark iii, Canon 6D, Canon 70-200 L, Canon 85mm, Sigma Art 35mm.Feedback
Sometimes you get something so different from what you planned to do. Be observant while you are walking or searching your location. This image sure wasn't planned, but I'm so happy with how it turned out!
