It's a nice image but the light source/direction seems to confuse me. It appears to be a sunset behind the trees which would cast shadows differently. Certainly, I'm no artist and I still like it.

I shot this last November while driving the backroads around the Richland Creek area in Arkansas.

This old barn screamed out to take its picture.

Location

This photo was taken at "Natural Dam" in Natural Dam, Arkansas

Time

Sun was setting over my shoulder.

Lighting

As the sun set behind me, it unveiled some of the colors in the rock formations behind the falls and, lit up the opposite bank in vivid color.

Equipment

I was using. Canon 70D with a Sigma 24-105 lens on a Manfrotto tripod.

Inspiration

Natural Dam is a place I frequent often because it offers something different every time I go.

Editing

I alway post process in Lightroom and clean things up in Photoshop.

In my camera bag

I always take my camera of course. I always have my variable ND filter, extra battery, tripod, flash, and extra camera.

Feedback

Take your time. Get there early to anticipate the lighting. Always check you camera settings. Take test shots and many of them at different f stops and shutter speeds. You never know...which shot you'd love more.
