Such a wonderful desolation, it seems to come directly from the pages of a novel of Sepulveda about Patagonia....

This literally took my breath away. One of the most stunning images I've seen in ages. You make me sick with jealousy, but in a good way :)

Love this shot! Reminds me of Churchill Manitoba. I believe this is a wreck on the shores of the Hudson Bay near there called The Ithaca. It looks suspended in time

Location
This photo was taken at Dimitrios shipwreck in Gythio, at the South east Peloponnese in Greece ! It was the first stop of the 2 weeks road trip of me and my dog ( Loco ) around the West side of the country.Time
This one is one of my best photos for sure..I was at this beach the whole night capturing the sky above the ship when the rain came and ended my shooting. But in the morning the sun started to rise in a stormy sky and the light was just out of this world, I took my tripod out and started shooting for the next minutes till the rain came back again..Lighting
I wanted to smooth the water, so I went with long exposure for this but I Kept a faster exposure of the sky as I didn't want to loose any details of it and then hand- blended them in post process.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D7000, a Tokina 11-16 mm ,a Hoya Nd 3stop filter and a Benro tripod.Inspiration
This spot was on the top of my list for a long time..I have seen some of the greatest photos taken at this shipwreck and the story behind this was so interesting that I've just had to be there for once in my life. The truth is I've spent three days shooting this ship day and night and from every possible angle !Editing
I always spend a lot of time in post-processing..here were used several exposures of the ship ,the foreground and the sky which I've blended them in Photoshop, did some color work in color efex pro and the final touch is always made in Lightroom !In my camera bag
My back pack right now has a Nikon D7000 and a D7100, an ultra wide lens as my beloved Tokina 11-16 , a Sigma 17-70 and a Nikon 70-300 mm , several Nd filters 3-5 and 11 stops,a few polarized filters, two Benro tripods, remote control, a flash light , multi tools , wipers and a rain cover for the cameras. My latest addition to my equipment is a drone ,so I can have that extra perspective at the places I shoot..you can imagine how big my back pack has transformed.Feedback
Just keep the most cliché in photography and shoot in dusk and dawn, have patience and always keep in mind that the best things happen when you least expect it.. For this particular place early morning works better as the sun rises behind the shipwreck , so you have the most photogenic part of the ship to shoot and you usually are with no one around.
