Location
The photo was taken at Bradbury clump in Wiltshire,UK.Time
I got up at 4am to drive to the spot and choose a suitable place to shoot the image before the sun started rising.Lighting
I was hoping for a glorious sunrise but it didnt last long before the clouds blocked it out. I ended up shooting in a very small window of time and before the woods were illuminated by the sun as I was hoping. To add a bit of colour to what would of been a rather clod scene, I attached a graduated orange filter.Equipment
My kit for this shot was a Sony A7Rii, Sony 28mm f.2 lens and a tripod as I had to shoot at an exposure that was too slow for handheld with the available light.Inspiration
Spring time is probabley my favourite time of year for landscape and nature photography. I wanted to capture something that was unique about this time of year so I searched the internet for Bluebell sites and found one not too far from where I live.Editing
I did some post processing in Lightroom to balance the exposure and add a little warmth. In my camera bag
I am never without my Sony A7Rii and Sony A6000 which is converted to full spectrum infrared. My usual lenses are Sony 28mm, Sony Ziess 55mm, Sony 90mm Macro, and a Sony 10-16mm for the IR.Feedback
The best advice I can give for shooting a location like this is to get up early. I arrived at the woods at 5am and by 6;30am there were already people arriving to walk dogs or just to see the Bluebells.
