Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at the concentration camp at Birkenau during my visit last March.

Time

I think it was mid-morning at around 10am

Lighting

Not really...it was a typical cloudy morning in Poland.

Equipment

Nothing special...my compact Nikon coolpixS2700 that I use when I travel light.

Inspiration

I think it was the feeling of the moment. The atmosphere was heavy and depressing and the child on the rails fitted the blueness of the scene.

Editing

I turned it black and white cause it best captures the feeling of the moment.

In my camera bag

When I travel light I always have my Nikon,which I mentioned before and my cellphone. When I want to take fancier photos I usually borrow my sisters DSLR Nikon since she owns more equipment.

Feedback

I have no advice because every photographer has a unique point of view.
