Location
I took this photo outside my neighborhood in El Paso, Texas.Time
This image was taken at approximately 10:00pm.Lighting
Ambient city lights and of course the flashes of lightning!Equipment
I used my Nikon D750 with a 35mm 1.8 lens mounted on a ravelli tripod.Inspiration
Weather and nature can be so incredible to photograph so when we had a lightning storm come over the Franklin Mountains I really wanted to get out there to photograph it. I jumped in my car and set off down the road as fast as I could!Editing
This image is a stitching of approximately 7 different images I captured that evening. I also ran some warmth and toning adjustments as well as sharpening. In my camera bag
Since taking this photo about a year ago my bag has expanded! Now I can't leave the house without my D750, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8 vrii, and 50mm Sigma Art.Feedback
To achieve these images I used a long exposure set on my tripod. I don't have a flash trigger so I took multiple shots, many resulting in nothing. It was really exciting though to see the flashes while you had your exposure running!
