Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at my home in Northumberland, Pa.

Time

This was taken as the sun was getting low one afternoon in September

Lighting

This was taken with natural light and a touch of fill flash.

Equipment

Camera: NIKON D800 with an SB 900 Aperture: f/1.8 ISO: 160 Exposure: 1/640 Focal Length: 850/10 Bird is also mine, but added later.

Inspiration

My daughter inspired this photo. If you knew how she interacted with animals, you would think this had actually happened. Many of my other photos of her with animals required no photoshopping.

Editing

The bird wan added in photoshop and I used a custom color overlay to deepen the colors.

In my camera bag

I have several Nikon bodies, and my go to lenses are my 85mm, 70-200, and 50mm. But I also love my macro and wide angle lenses.

Feedback

I shoot wide open when ever possible :) I also bounce flash to fill shadows when needed.
