Location

This shot was made from the English side of the Severn Bridge.

Time

Dusk that particular evening was superb with just the right light and colour making the bridge stand out.

Lighting

I loved the red hue of this image which makes what could be a boring stock shot into something more interesting.

Canon 5D MKII / 24-105 mm Canon L lens / tripod

Inspiration

I was making a few shots around this area all day and was waiting for some nice dusk skies to finish the project. I wasn't disappointed.

Editing

Minimal processing. Just making sure the highlights and shadows weren't over/under blown. A bit of sharpening at the end too.

All my equipment is Canon.

Feedback

Being in the right place at the right time is key. Knowing when the sun sets and where is part of your preparations. Otherwise it's up to the weather to give you an image you have foreseen or not.
