This photo was taken in my living room, I was playing around with a black background from material bought from Boyes department store. The kittens were fairly new to us and still cute looking.Time
It was a while ago now but it would have been during the day one weekend, while giving off camer flash ago.Lighting
I was experimenting with off camera flash, a Canon 430X and pocket wizard triggers. when our kitten came and sat on my backdrop.Equipment
My camera is Canon 7D, Lens is a Sigma DC 17-70mm, Flash is Canon 430 X II,Tripod is a Giottos MTL9361B with pan and tilt head. Also used Pocket wizard flash triggersInspiration
I was playing around with my kit and the kitten came and sat on my background, seamed a shame not to photograph her.Editing
I use Adobe Creative Cloud for Lightroom and Photoshop, I will have cropped and tweaked in Light Room.In my camera bag
My normal photography is Endurance horse events for which i use the Canon 70-200mm L series lens on my Canon 7D body. If I am out on a hike then I revert to my Sigma lenses 17-70mm and 10-20mm with option of Lee filters and stoppers and a carbon fibre tripod coupled with a Manfrotto ball head.Feedback
Be patient and practice, don't be afraid to try something, many times I end up liking a shot that was not intended and very different from the effect I was trying for.
