Location

This photo was taken on the front deck of my house late one summer afternoon, using my wedding dress as a backdrop.

Lighting

I placed the wedding dress and the bracelet in several places on the deck of my house, looking for the right place where the bracelet jewels and some of beading on the dress would catch the sun just right.

Equipment

Shot this pic with Canon Rebel XTi, hand held. Aperture f/16, ISO 400, Exp 1/500. No other equipment.

Inspiration

I was just married and wanted to capture every detail of this beautiful day! Was trying to capture the "happiness" and the "glow" of the day.

Editing

No post processing.

In my camera bag

Not much. Always an extra fully charged battery, sometimes a telephoto lens.

Feedback

I'm not a professional photographer but it is a hobby I'm very passionate about. I think when you feel the passion (my family teases me that my camera is my 3rd appendage!), you will know when a photo "feels" right. Sometimes you have to have a lot of patience, maybe waiting for the sun to go down a little and then take a few shots from different angles until you get the shot you want. I always stay curious, trying different angles, backdrops and times of day for lighting. Thank you so much for choosing my photo to receive this award !!
