Location
This is my reflection in the main window of my living room.Time
It was late in the evening. I had been reading & sipping a little whiskey when I noticed the wavy reflection.Lighting
Taken after dark, you see only the reflection of what was lighted by the living room lamp. The camera is in my left hand at the right edge of the photo. You can faintly see my hand, but the black camera body disappeared into the background.Equipment
Nikon D7000, Nikkor DX 18-210 zoom lens at some "normal" focal length, probably around 70mm, using only available lamp light.Inspiration
Seeing the wavy, blurred reflection, suggesting exaggerated effects of drinking the whiskey.Editing
This was a straight photo with only slight cropping. The unusual reflection comes from original "wavy" window glass (circa 1910) with a new flat glass storm window outside it.In my camera bag
Besides the camera & lens for this photo (above), I also have a Nikkor 35mm 1:1.8, for occasional low light use.Feedback
Just keep your eyes open for interesting images. One of the reasons I enjoy my photography so much is that, even when the photo doesn't work out as I might have wished, I still remember what I saw. I pay better attention to what all is to see when trying for an interesting photo. That thinking carries over even when I don't have my camera (or smart phone, these days) in hand.
