Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken at Blouberg Beach in Cape Town. This is one of my favorite sights because 90 degrees from this angle is Table Mountain and because of all the rocks and ocean.Time
This was around sunset and we were actually there to take sunset photos and go for a walk.Lighting
Sunset shots in Table View are very hit and miss. You never know how it's going to be at the beach. We got lucky with a beautiful evening that day.Equipment
The camera was a Canon 600D, no other equipment was used. I basically lay on the sand and took shots with different settings aperture and f-stop settings. The lens was a 18-55mm lens that came with the camera.Inspiration
I had a really rough day at work and phoned my friend up to see if he wanted to go take some shots. So we headed down to the beach and while we were messing around the footprints along the beach reminded me of that poem "Footprints in the sand" and that even in tough times God is with me. Was really happy with how the shot came out.Editing
There was not much processing done. I just used the blur and tilt functions in Snapseed on my phone to enhance the middle of the photo. In my camera bag
Just my camera and a 70-300mm lens. That's it.Feedback
Always carry your camera around because you never know when the perfect shot might come up.
