WOW! Thank you everyone for your lovely comments and votes!!
I love fireworks!!
When shooting weddings I really strive to do things differently, not only to create memorable, original images but to make my job continually exciting and ever changing! I love new challenges, especially in photography!
I think the biggest challenge with capturing this shot was the furious neighbours wondering why we were lighting off fireworks at 1am in the middle of the street!
I'm also totally in love with the images from this couples wedding!

Awesome capture. The fill lighting off sets the powerful light of the pyrotechnics so that it does not overpower the main subject. Masterfully composed. Congratulations on the "Feature", very creative. Added to my favorites.

Thanks Coomanator! I really love this shot, I've gotta add more from this wedding, the wedding photos I took that day are truly gorgeous, I'm really proud of them. It's a great feeling!

And today I told someone I'd never want to photograph at weddings because I thought it'd be too boring. You have completely changed my perspective on the matter. What a lucky couple to have you as their photographer.

Wedding photography has a terrible rep, I believe that it's not in fact because of the actual weddings but because of lame boring photographers sticking to a formulaic style!

Location
I took this photo beside the Berkley Church in Toronto Ontario Canada.Time
We snuck out for 15mins during the reception and were able to quickly grab this shot, but really didn't make any fans with the neighbours since it was about 10pm!Lighting
This is shot with 100% street lighting, I illuminated them a tiny bit in Photoshop, but no artificial lighting.Equipment
For this shot, I used my Canon 5D MK3 and 50mm f1.2Inspiration
What inspired my to take this photo is to create something unique for this beautiful couple. Everything was so perfectly styled at their wedding, that I knew some explosives would make a huge impact in their wedding photos!Editing
For this shot, I used a tiny bit of radial & gaussian blur to isolate the couple and manipulated the colors to give it a more dreamy feel.In my camera bag
For weddings, I now generally try to limit my gear. As I found it's easy to get overwhelmed lugging around soo much equipment! Now I generally only use my Canon 5D MK3, Canon 6D and my Canon 50mm F1.2, Sigma 35mm F1.4, Canon 100mm F2.8 and Canon 24mm f2.8. Only primes for me, even though they can be a bit more work, the results are significantly worth it!Feedback
Treat each client individually and try to capture something that's unique and specific to them :)
