I am a self taught photographer. This shot was taken at Stanley Park Vancouver about 3 years ago. Shot with a Nikon D70s, Aperture setting and Exposure I personally can not remember because it was three years ago. Lens was a Nikkor 300mm Ai . Camera set on manual mode.Time
This photo was taken around 1pm to 1:30pmLighting
Slightly cloudy and I wanted till the sun was behind the clouds just about to go out when I took this shot.Equipment
Hand held Nikon D70s with Nikkor 300mm lens set on Manual.Inspiration
I was just out shooting anything I came across that interested me at the time. This is my normal photo session style of photographing. I have planned some photos and will take the time to shot them as well but the majority is just shot want I see and like.Editing
Yes some enhancement was done using Paintshop Pro X3 Ultimate. Added a little contrast and Local Tone Mapping completed the digital darkroom portionIn my camera bag
I have currently a Nikon D200, D70s, and D40 for cameras. I possess a Nikkor 30mm Ai, and 18-105mm lenses.Feedback
Photography is not an exact science. Shoot what you want and do the best you can. Keep records whenever possible and do not be afraid to bracket your photos. Somettimes one of your bracket photos maybe a better photo than the proper setting photo. Example: If your setting is set at the cameras or light meter stting of f8 1/125 sec at ISO 200 you may like the photo shot off at 1/160 sec better. Read and always keep your Owners Manual in your camera case. It is full of some good advise.
