Location
This image was captured outside the City Hall in Melbourne.Time
Taken mid morning during the week.Lighting
Light was fairly subdued and even as it was an overcast day. I really loved the soft feel and texture of the sandstone columns.Equipment
I used my new Fuji 100F. Film simulation mode set to Across with green filter.Inspiration
The diverging lines caught my eye immediately and the line of columns repeating into the distance really held my attention. I do look at scenes with a zone system eye and pre-visualising before I shoot is my favourite thing about photography.Editing
I worked this shot in Silvereffex adding a little structure here and there and increased/decreased density until I achieved my previsualisation. I also cloned out someone's arm poking through the columns. In my camera bag
Currently I have Fuji 100F and XPro 3 cameras. I use a range of lenses but most often I stay wide.Feedback
Keep searching and never give up. Even when you are ready to stop shooting something can grab your attention.
