Location
This photo was taken in Southern Colorado at our family ranch.Time
This was taken mid afternoon. We had come out to the ranch to place a Christmas wreath at the family cemetery and I noticed this interesting spot where snow had melted but not yet soaked in.Lighting
It wasn't the best time of day to shoot this image, but I think it still looks interesting.Equipment
I shot this with a Nikon D7000, using ISO 200, and a shutter speed of 1/400.Inspiration
The interesting contract between prairie grass, cactus, and standing water. A scene not often seen in the high plains of Southern Colorado. Water is precious to ranchers in this area and this is a good reminder, that no matter how dry it gets, moisture will surely come at some point.Editing
No major post processing was done to this image. In my camera bag
I am still building my bag, but it has my camera, a couple of lens, spare memory card, batteries, and business cards lol.Feedback
I don't have any advice for others yet as I am still learning so much. Always have your camera with you and if you see something interesting take shots from as many different angles as possible.
