This photo was taken in my yard after an ice storm and a freezing fog. I had one leaf left on this particular branch.Time
This was taken in the afternoon after the ice had stopped pouring from the sky. It was a bit gloomy outside still. I had one leaf left hanging on this particular branch.Lighting
Nothing special with the lighting. It was just what natural light we had at about 1:45 pm with the clouds causing a somewhat overcast sky.Equipment
I just used my Canon Rebel SL1 with my EFS17-85 mm lens.Inspiration
I like to get shots after the ice storms we have been known to get on occasion. This particular shot was I felt unique, because there was one dead leaf still hanging on to the tree branch, even though it had been pelted with freezing rain, as well as frosted over from freezing fog. It was a tough little leaf.Editing
I did do a little post processing, in regards to adding a little HDR effects, as well as just sharpening up that leaf just a smidge. In my camera bag
My Canon Rebel SL1 along with my 17-85 lens, and my 75-300 lens. However, I find that the 17-85 lens usually covers whatever shots I want to take. I also carry extra batteries and sd cards.Feedback
Overcast skies can often be your friend, especially when trying to capture the gloominess of a winter storm.
