In Rossio (the heart of Lisbon), we come across two beautiful monumental fountains. There are two bronze fountains of unique architectural beauty, where several cast iron mythological figures stand out.
These were added in the Square in 1889, flanking the Statue of Dom Pedro IV, and appear after the discovery of two wells in this place. Its symmetrical location, the statue of D. Pedro IV, as well as the typical Portuguese sidewalk give this square a unique and wonderful aesthetic.
Both sources are part of Lisbon Pombaline, which was classified as a Group of Public Interest.
