This photo was taken in my house, on the bed in my mother's bedroom, just as the sun was starting to come through the window. Mildred had just hopped on the bed and taken her seat, she was quite entretained observing my other cat, Bibi, at the moment of the shot.Time
It was at about 8 in the morning, I had just finished breakfast and wanted to test some of my new camera's features, the cat got on the bed and I realized she'd be a great model for a picture, and indeed she is.Lighting
The first fews rays of sun coming through the window were on the edge of the room, reflecting on her fur and eyes. It created such a beautiful effect, I'm glad I took that chance to take this picture, I love everything about it, my camera, the sun, and my cats.Equipment
This was shot using Canon EOS Rebel T7, a Canon Zoom Lens EF-S (18-55mm, 1:3.5-5.6 IS II) and a UV filter with no other equipment involved.Inspiration
The moment itself, the beauty in the rays of the shining sun reflecting on her fur, the way she stood out from the rest of the room.Editing
Not much, just had to correct the white balance and exposure in the photo since I wasn't much used to the camera at the time, I barely recall which tool was used, but it was done on Photoshop. In my camera bag
Everything I own, which is a Canon EOS Rebel T7 body, the Canon Zoom Lens EF-S (18-55mm, 1:3.5-5.6 IS II), a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens, and a small tripod.Feedback
If it's the lighting that you want to reproduce, wait for natural sunlight near the object to be shot, and have it reflect on a white surface. You can even use sheets of white paper to make it reflect that way. If it's a pet photo that you want to capture, wait for a casual moment when your pet is relaxed and/or distracted. For cats if you want a similar pose, you can wait for them to sit and incite some casual distraction where you want them to look, I don't reccomend using a treat or a toy cause they will most likely go out of pose or run after, the best would be some common inoffensive movement like a person or animal companion walking by on the area you want them to be looking at.
