Location
I took this photo in Harbor Springs, Michigan at the Offield Family Viewlands which is a golf course that has been left to grow wild and be used as a nature preserve.Time
I took the photo at 11:00 am.Lighting
It was an overcast day.Equipment
I used my iPhone.Inspiration
It was a grey day and the grasses were somewhat dry due to a lack of rain. As we started to climb the hill, I noticed these flowers and and loved how the color popped against the dry grass and the pine trees where the trail was leading us.Editing

I typically carry my Nikon but was concerned about rain.Feedback
Don’t discount using any tools in your bag. I walk about 8 miles and don’t always have my Nikon. I do, however, always have my iPhone with me and and happy to have some of the spur of the moment shots that come together nicely.
