Under the new river Gorge Bridge and all around the parks 70,000 acres are many trails and hidden gems, this is the wolf creek trailhead walking bridge that crosses over one estuary feeding the New River, which is one of only 2 Rivers in North America that actually runs North starting in North Carolina and ending up in Charleston W.V, where it feeds the Kanawha River (PRONOUNCED Kuh-naw-uh, not can-e-wuh),and from there to the Ohio and then the Mississippi. But the New River National Park here in Oak Hill, W.V and surrounding areas has one of the best white water rafting in the country, this 52 mile stretch of river is a tourist destination for over 3 million visitors per year, comparable to the statue of liberty at a little over 4 million per year, which is crazy because even I, who have lived here my entire life, would have never guessed that. The Native Americans had a name for this stretch of the New River, they called it the (nolichuck Mish) or " River of Death ". Although this statement has never been factually proven, the locals around here all agree on its origins coming from the natives. Looking at the river and its rapids, it's hard to dispute this.

I came across this bridge and loved how it arched over the waterway beneath it. Since the new river gorge bridge is always stealing everyone's attention, I decided to capture this hidden bridge insteadEquipment
