Location
We were doing a small 2 day workshop in Istria, region in Croatia. That day we were shooting some fashion shots in city of Labin. This old Mediteranian style city is full of small streets, passages, generally it's full of great locations for shooting.Time
We all woke up rather early as all models had to be ready on time (dress up, make up, etc) and we had to get to Labin, as we were situated 15 km away in small private villa. Day was nice, with slight overcast and occasional sun getting trough clouds.Lighting
We were in that passage, leading from street to one nice backyard. Three story high old houses we surrounding us from three sides. Diffused and indirect natural light was coming from above and as the model was a bit inside of a passage i got nice light falloff.Equipment
I used Nikon D750 and Sigma 35mm F1,4 ART lens Exp: 1/600s , F1,6 ISO 400 / handheldInspiration
Anita is such a great model and I adore her freckles. That day she had a lovely red dress. We did a great series of photos that day.Editing
I did basic "development" in LR.In my camera bag
I am all Sigma user, so usually I have with me Sigma 50mm 1,4 ART, Sigma 105mm 1,4 ART, 35mm 1,4 ART, Sigma 24-105mm 4,0 ART and Sigma 70-200mm 2,8 SPORT. Beside that I have another camera boy with me. It is Sigma SD Quattro H + Sigma 50mm 1,4 ART which I like to use for portraits and B/W shots (as it has Foveon sensor).Feedback
Light overcast or indirect light between building is proven as great light source. Learn to observe lights and shadows on locations.
