Location
The photo was taken while strolling on Promenade beach at Puducherry early morning while I was waiting to capture the sunrise.Time
It was about 6.15 am in Jan this year.Lighting
The beautiful clouds highlighted by the orange and blue hues accentuated the scene adding drama to the picture. It’s one of my favourite shot!Equipment
I used Canon 600D with 135mm lens.Inspiration
I had gone to the beach early to catch the sunrise. Though the clouds eclipsed the rising sun and I was not willing to leave till I had shot a few frames, I began to stroll down the beach when I chanced upon this man taking a selfie!! The nature was presenting awesome shades of magnificent orange with sprinkling of blues and grey painting the horizon when suddenly this man stood up and began to click a selfie. The amazing backdrop with this man clicking away selfies made my hands impulsively to bring the camera up to capture the moment.Editing
Yes, the picture was post processed using Lightroom. In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon 500D with Canon 10-18mm and 50mm alongside Tamron 18-270mm. However, for this trip to Puducherry, since my son had borrowed my gear, I had rented a Canon 600D with Canon135 mm lens.Feedback
As a landscape photographer, one has to prepare in advance for abrupt changes in weather conditions. Go out with an open mind and positive attitude. Always be mentally mobile and ready to exploit the challenges posed by nature and opportunities presented to you out of the blue. If you have prepared well before the shoot,I assure you, you will always return with fabulous frames!!
