Behind The Lens

Location

This is the island of Hanimaadhoo, Maldives. It is an inhabited one and that is the personal beach of the Barefoot Eco Hotel.

Time

That foto was taken at 14:27h in December of 2019

Lighting

As the sky turns out cloudy most of tourist are leaving the beach, a good situation to take some shots, so just wait and then take advantage.

Equipment

Fujifilm X-T20, with the 16-50 mm, a small tripod, no flash

Inspiration

Whenever people go to island it is mostly for the good weather, beach, water and feeling good. But why not show how beautiful nature is even when the weather is changing. How impressive clouds can be!

Editing

It´s a HDR foto - so i merged 3 pictures into one. A bit post processing with Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I normaly take my Fujifilm X-T20 and a few lenses with me. Sometimes i may carry the tripod. If i have no space i only take a small digicam like the Canon Powershot S1 or maybe the old Ixus 60.

Feedback

Dont feel bad if you are on an island spending your holidays and the weather changes - that can be a great oportunity to show another face of that place to the world!
