I feel Im stuck between two worlds
Wanting to be a part of the new,
But feeling at home in the old
Now I’m not a part of either
And I’m alone and lonely stuck in nothing

We drove around all day looking for some hay bales to shoot on , and eventually gave up and headed to a beach and did a shoot on the beach. As we headed back to the car we saw two bales just at the edge of the car park ... we both looked st each other and in an instant knew we had to shoot there !! It was late evening around 8pm and the light was just beautifully soft as the sun had already set but it meant we had a maximum of 15 minutes. So we just quickly got ready and took around 20 great pictures tight in the middle of the car park.Time
This was later in the day around 8-9pm as the light fadedLighting
Just natural light ... no reflector... no flash .... no special tricksEquipment
Canon 5D mk ii with a 50mm 1.2L LensInspiration
The opportunity ..... the symmetry of the hay bales was perfect even if it was in the middle of the car park and had a few interested onlookers !Editing
Very little editing in photoshop to balance the contrast a bit and slightly sharpen, less than a minutes work .... Converted to bnw in lightroomIn my camera bag
Used my canon 5D mkii for this although now I’ve graduated to an R6 and R5 and 50 mm 1.2L and also a 70-200 mm f4LFeedback
When you see an opportunity... don’t waste it ... just do it
