Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the park of a study house on the outskirts of the capital. A park with a very well-kept grass, varied trees: with flowers, with fruits or only with leaves. Of different sizes and harmonically located. That park conveys a lot of peace!

Time

It was two weeks ago in the month of October. The weather was cool and the sky was clear and sunny. After noon around 2 pm I took three hours to see photo options for the contest. I took the guitar and placed it in different interior and exterior areas. The natural beauty of the park gave me the possibility of joining the harmony of music with that of nature. I spent about three hours taking pictures. The photo on the tree seemed an interesting place. The guitar is made of the wood of the tree and therefore in a certain way is it. In addition, the songs of the birds of the park are also represented in the imaginary sound of the guitar. I believe that the fusion of the musical instrument with the harmony of nature form a set that gives the title to this photograph. It is as if the beauty of the natural environment is also understood in its "ambient sound" phase of the numerous birds. A new and wonderful experience. (sorry my native language is Spanish.

Equipment

I used a Canon xs camera and a 50mm fixed lens. Although the camera is old, the lens has magic.

Inspiration

The link between music and nature gave me the possibility of composing an image that, in their connection and harmony, complement each other in a photograph. It inspires me to convey beauty in all its dismensions. Discover what goes beyond, the deepest message, and the details that awake in the soul of those who visualize the image. My deepest inspiration, in photography in general, comes from the writer Dostoevsky's phrase "beauty will save the world."

Editing

The photograph was taken with natural light that favors maintaining the fundamental aspects of the image. However, there are nuances that improve your understanding and beauty. In addition to using the improver with artificial intelligence, I used a bit of shade, other elements of smooth editing and a filter that I thought was more suitable to achieve the result. I believe that the contributions of the subsequent processing helped a certain stylization of the image and the proper emphasis on the center of interest.

In my camera bag

I usually carry the camera, 50 mm lens, battery and its charger. A memory of 4 gigabytes. My elements are still quite basic but they have helped me get the experience of interesting results with few tools. Sometimes I carry the tripod.

Feedback

In Paraguay there are few days of rain and lots of sun although the month of October is more varied. Working with natural light is quite easy and frequent.
