Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on vacation at Llandudno north wales. I was in the grand bedroom suite over looking the town. I’m an amateur self taught photographer and wanted to capture the picturesque view

Time

I remember looking out of the window around mid morning and it was nice looking out towards the clouds and seeing the sun hitting the houses

Lighting

I wanted to capture the picture like it was something out of a fairy tale. The natural light cascaded over the roof tops with the shadow from the clouds covering the hills and mountains in the distance

Equipment

This photo was shot with a Nikon d3200 with a sigma dg-70-300mm lens & Hoya uv(c) 58mm filter

Inspiration

The owner of the hotel told me a lovely story on why she and her daughter bought the hotel which gave me inspiration to take the photo

Editing

The only processing I did was to the clouds which was a little saturation, sharpening & contrast

In my camera bag

Usually the only thing I carry is my Nikon d3200 with sigma 70-300mm lens with uv filter attached my iPhone and my eager eyes

Feedback

Beauty is everywhere all you need to do is look. The simplest of things can be the most beautiful. You don’t need to edit a ton even Subtle changes on a basic software can improve an already beauty capture. I capture everything that captures my eye as I see beauty in all things. From a weed growing from concrete to a baby dove taking its first flight. So go out and capture beauty of the world
