Wandering through Bodie Ghost Town in California I came accross this old car.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Palmdale Ca. This is just off the road in an open field at evening time.

Time

This photo was taken just after sunset while the sky was still light.

Lighting

I dropped down the exposure to darken the scene, then used my indra500 strobe with a Phottix Raja Deep 60 modifier to lighten my subject.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D810, my 70-200 2.8 nikon lens. Indra500 strobe, Phottix 395 stand, Phottix Raja Deep 60 modifier and my Odin trigger.

Inspiration

My friend had recently bought this van and decided to do some "art" on it. I felt it had to be captured in pictures for all to appreciate. The van now wears different art.

Editing

I use Adobe lightroom to edit my photos. I changed it to black and white. I also adjust it to create a mood.

In my camera bag

I carry my Nikon Camera, a 70 -200 2.8 lens, 85mm 1.8 lens and the kit lens that came with the camera. I have my lens cleaners. Extra batteries, cards, my mitros flash trigger with me al th he time.

Feedback

You can turn day into night using high speed synch and adjusting your shutter speed settings. It is fun to try different settings to see the results.
