I took this photo at my home studio. I love beauty photography, so I decided to create a small studio to practise anytime I can.Time
For studio photoshots every time of the day is good, however I'm not the early bird person, so I shoot mostly in the afternoons or evenings - that's the best time of my creativity.Lighting
While shooting beauty, I love to use single light with beauty dish and one reflector at the bottom to fill shadows up. In my opinion it is better and easier way to reflect the light instead of putting second light - anyone can do it.Equipment
I used Canon 6D with 135/f2 L lens, Quadralite Move 400 flash with beauty dish and one silver reflector.Inspiration
Me and make-up artist Anna Ciesielka-Kope? love glitter, glow and every that shines, so we decided to create a closeup with loads of glitter coming down the lips.Editing
I did basic RAW convertion in Capture One and then beauty retouch in photoshop. In my camera bag
It depends on work I'm going to. If it's portrait or beauty only 135/f 2L and additionally 50/1.8 with Canon 6D or Canon 5DmkII, For me that's enough.Feedback
It took me couple of years to reach that kind of effect, so my advice is to practise, practise, practise. Keep on shooting what you love and the more the better. Time and excercise will lead you to the point where you will finally see that your work satisfy you. In this kind of shots use lenses with greater focal length, such as 100mm, 105mm, 135mm and so on, this will prevent from deformation of faces on your photos.
