Location
I took this photo at Phoenix Zoo where i often photograph this Mandrill and couple of others. You will see him in different poses through my gallery.Time
This was in the morning about 10 am. They were very active and i had to wait until he was centered with my camera lens since he was pacing in circles.Lighting
Morning light is the best! the crisp hue's really showcase animals coat and how they soak up the rays in their fur and skin. There are few big trees so once the head peaked from the shadows i snapped the picture quickly. I enjoy playing in shadows when it comes to subject so don't be afraid to challenge your self with something different.Equipment
This was shot with: Body: Canon 5DSr on CF, Lens: 70-200 mm F/2.8Inspiration
I really enjoy wildlife photography and i spend mornings in local zoo's where i photograph these beauties. Every time i go back i discover something new, new way to show their beauty, their nature and their character.Editing
I edited this photo is Adobe Lightroom, original did not have as much as hue's so i added little extra to really show what i saw with my own eye.In my camera bag
Body: Canon 5DSr on CF, Lens: 70-200 mm F/2.8, Extra: Battery's, Tripod, CD and CF cards, lens protection filters.Feedback
Take your time, study the subject and appreciate their behavior. Watch them through the lens and you will feel when you find that view you desire, snap a click, and always keep in mind that realism of these animals is the true beauty.
