This photo was taken during a trip in the South of Belgium. We call this side of Belgium the Ardennes.Time
I remember is was chilling in the backyard, waiting for dinner to be ready. It was a soft summer afternoon. This photo was taken on July 27, 2017 around 5pm.Lighting
I actually did nothing special with the lighting. I wanted a shot with natural lighting. That's what I prefer the most.Equipment
This was shot on a Sony HX350. no other equipment was used.Inspiration
I remember I was sitting on the ground, with my camera and a book next to me. I was planning on reading a little but I decided to look around first and enjoy the vieuw before diving into my book. And that's when I saw this little bug. He was chilling on this beautiful flower and at that moment I wasn't chilling alone anymore. He was keeping me company. So I decided to give him a free photoshoot and I think the pictures came out great. he is so photogenic!Editing
I didn't do any post-processing for this shot.In my camera bag
I only have 2 things in my bag. My camera which is a Sony HX350 and my tripod which is a HAMA Tripod Star 61.Feedback
If you want to take a close-up shot, don't go to close with your lens but back up a little and use your zoom. By doing this you also create a blurry background, which I find beautiful. Of course there are other ways to make close-up shots. But this is working for me so I am sharing it and I hope it's a little helpful for someone out there. My number one advice is enjoy what your doing and don't listen too much to what others say about your shots. Everyone has his own preferences. So what you may find amazing, may be average for someone else. The only thing that matters is your own opinion.
