Behind The Lens

Location

I was at my local dealer to get some work on my truck when I wandered into the show room. The Matt paint on this Ram 1510 changes from copper to green as the light hits it. It didn’t show at all in the DSLR, but my trusty BlackBerry picked it up.

Time

Just before noon as some light was coming in the Windows

Lighting

Trying to reduce thhe glare took some positioning

Equipment

Tried the Nikon D7000 first, but didn't see any of the green tint. Just to try I shot with the BlackBerry Passport, and it picked some of the hue.

Inspiration

The color shifting from copper to green was amazing.

Editing

Just cropping, any colour adjustments lost the green.

In my camera bag

D7000 with Sigma 17-50 F2.8 and the Tamron 70-300 Macro.

Feedback

Try different equipment, just because your main camera doesn't get the shot, test everything else.
