Location
I took this photo on our farm at Poochera, South Australia. Its as close to the Australian Putback you can get and still be able to put a crop in. A very marginal rainfall area and this particular crop suffered a bit from drought.Time
Its taken at dusk, about 6 o'clock. Perfect time of day to get those beautiful pastel colours.Lighting
I took this just after the sun had gone down, i didnt want the harsh sunlight as i wanted a nice calming image so i waited and the light ended up being perfect for what i wanted.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7200 and i actually cant remember what lens i used.Inspiration
Im always trying to add to my farm stock photos and i always go past this paddock on our property and want to take something while its in crop. Its a beautiful paddock and when the light hits it right its one of my favourite spots.Editing
Yes, i brought out the colours a little bit.In my camera bag
I have my Nikon D7200, a 50mm 1.8, a wide angle zoom (cant remember the specs, i use it for real estate) and i just recently added a 70-300mm zoom lens.Feedback
Just to know your location, keep in mind what you want to acheive and go there at the right time a day. Keep a weather eye on the horizon also, dont want to go to a spot only to realise the weather isnt right for what you want
