Location
The photo was taken on an abandoned grain silo on the outskirts of Buffalo. It was one of my first times going out and using my camera at the time. So I was relatively new to taking photos in raw format and editing in post.Time
If I remember correctly the photo was taken in the afternoon during Autumn.Lighting
As I stated i was relatively new to photography at the time. I took the photo using complete manual setting and adjusted the white balance on the camera with help from my buddy who does video production for a living.Equipment
At the time I was a Nikon d5300, a sigma 17-50mm f2.8, a polarizing filter. I also had my kit lens but never really used it. I did you a Joby gorilla pod, and a railing to help steady the camera for the photo.Inspiration
It was just a fun day learning and experimenting with a new camera getting into photography and video production. Trying to teach myself with some pointers from one of my hood friends.Editing
Yes I used photoshop and lightroom to test and learn post production techniques. I spent a good 10hours learning post production before attempting to edit this photo as I wanted a good understanding of things worked before hand.In my camera bag
In my camera bag now, I usually keep both a film camera and digital camera. I have since upgraded to a full frame Sony A7III and a few lenses for it. I keep extra sd cards, batteries. Some portable audio and lighting equipment. I have a tripod strapped to the bottom of the bag. I also keep a water bottle and some snacks in the bag as well depending on how long the day will beFeedback
Research places first, don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone. Life is about the experience and a camera helps us to capture those to share with others.
