A couple of mornings ago I wanted to take advantage of the frosty weather and autumn colours to capture Wycoller Hall, which was immortalised by Charlotte Bronte as Ferndean Manor in Jane Eyre. I knew I'd need to be there early to get the frost at its best, and that I couldn't get the image in one shot as a result. Photographers Ephemeris couldn't help with topography adjustment for dawn so I had to take an educated guess as to placing myself to get both a good composition and be in the right spot for the sun to rise through the window. I was absolutely delighted I nailed it! This shot represents 2 hours stood in a river to achieve 4 shots blended together as I'd imagined.
