Behind The Lens

Location

I took the four pictures in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, from my hotel room. The deck i was on was very high up because i stayed on a higher floor.

Time

I'd say that it was about 7:00 in the morning when i woke up and rushed outside to take the pictures.

Lighting

No, not really. It was a nice sunrise over the ocean, nothing much to say about lighting.

Equipment

I used my Fuji Film Finepix S, no filters, tripods, or flashes. I couldn't have anyway, since my camera wasn't meant for anything except for maybe a tripod.

Inspiration

I was excited to get the chance to get a sunrise picture like that, since i hadn't had my own camera the last time i was by the ocean.

Editing

Other than an app on my phone that allowed me to combine the four pictures used, not at all. The pictures are entirely unedited.

In my camera bag

At the time, I only had my Fuji Film. But now i have a Cannon Rebel XT, a 58 mm lens for it, and a handheld filter with 24 options to blend.

Feedback

Around the time schools in the US have spring break, go somewhere near a beach and get up as high as you can. Time it so that the sun is either rising or setting, and take multiple pictures. The colors of a sunrise or sunset are changing constantly, so there are more than one opportunity for a good picture.
