Location
This photo was taken in Belgium during a period of two year working there.Time
I woke up very early because I had to take a colleague to the airport and on my way back home, the sun was coming up, and I just stopped the car and pulled the camera to capture the moment.Lighting
The colors were amazing. The shapes and lighting were like it was taken out of a fairy taleEquipment
I used my old Canon 1100D with the kit lens, a Canon 18-55mm. I didn't had my tripod with me so I used my car for support. Quite a challenge I must say! :)Inspiration
I always loved sunrise and landscape photography. When I saw the beautiful orange colors my heart just filled with warmth and tranquility. It looked like the time had stopped and the only thing moving was the sun coming up in the horizon.Editing
the only post-processing was a little crop and turned the colors more saturated. In this case the colors and shades were the most important for me.In my camera bag
I upgraded from the old Canon 1100D and currently I use a Canon 70D. There are 3 lenses that accompany me every were, a Canon 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 that is great for landscape, a Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 that is a very all round lens and a Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8 that gives me great light and sharpness. For this picture I left the tripod home but when needed I also take it with me, especially if filters are involved! A cable release trigger is also in the bag.Feedback
Photographing landscapes is really harder than it seems, sometimes we just have to be very patient and prepare the locations very well so that a few pictures can come out right. My advise for other photographer like me is to be patient regarding photography but most of all do not give up easily because sooner or later you will capture that great picture that you are searching for. Remember that the more pictures you take the better you became. This picture for example was taken after so many similar ones and even without any preparation it just come out great! My final advise is... keep you phone nearby because a great chance might appear and you can try to take the chance.
