Location
This photo was taken in my own backyard. I'm from beautiful British Columbia and that's not an understatement!Time
It was just after a thunder storm, and the sky had just cleared up. I noticed the white flowers didn't show the dew nicely. But the purple one! It stood out to me, I had to capture it.Lighting
I wanted the image to be natural. I never edit my photos. This picture was taken after a storm, and that's exactly how I wanted it to look.Equipment
This shot was taken with my Canon 7D Mark II. The lens I was using was an 18-55.Inspiration
I take my camera everywhere. All unique angles inspire me, if it catches my eye I must capture it.Editing
I don't edit my photos, I take the photos and I share them with the world. In my camera bag
I always have my compass. It makes a great prop as well as contrast for more plain images. A Canon 7D Mark II, as well as 3 canon lenses (18-55, 75-300 and a portrait lens). Lens cleaner and an air brush to make sure dust stays away.Feedback
Don't over edit your pictures!! So many photographers over charge and over edit. If you can capture what you're looking at naturally, it makes you appreciate it so much more.
