I wanted to capture this lighthouse at sunset so started my hike around 4 PM to catch the sunset by 5:30( i know winter months!!)Lighting
It was pretty cold as you can imagine in Michigan!! I realized why i love doing it so much, wind, cold or absence or any human being was just not bothering me. I was able to soak all in and enjoy this beautiful landscape in front of me.Equipment
Nikon D4Inspiration
I shot this lighthouse at sunrise once but unfortunately it rained rest of the day so i was not able to capture it at sunset. SO i decided to make the 7 hr drive again from columbus with hope that it might be a good sunset.Editing
Little bit to bring details in clouds. In my camera bag
Nikon bodies and at least 3-4 lenses to cover my creative focal length....Feedback
Don't be disheartened if you don't get the shot first time you visit a place. In my years of experience one thing i have learnt is never expect mother nature to cooperate, she has her own agenda and you are just a spectator. Just enjoy what is presented and you might get something much more than what you asked for. Don't fight it, play with it and enjoy the journey.
