Location
I noticed a single tulip in my neighbors yard, as I approached it I noticed the stem was a bit crooked, so I found the best angle and took a chance, it happens to be one of my favorite flower shots.Time
It was late morning in the shade. Wasn't sure that the lighting would do it justice, but with a little patience I found the light was easy to work with.Lighting
Shaded with filtered light from the huge Oak trees on the north side of the house, made the single tulip feel like it was lonely, I feel like I captured that.Equipment
A canon EOS 7D 135/200 lens, hand held.Inspiration
I was going to take pictures of some horses in the back pasture and passed this in the front yard, so as soon as I got out of truck I headed right to the Tulip.Editing
I only enhanced the color and luminous. I like to try to keep the photos I take them, and just enhance what is needed.IIn my camera bag
Not owning much equipment at the time only the CanonEOS 7D a 50 mm, and the 135/200mmFeedback
Keep it as simple as you can. If the light isn't right go back to it if possible, you want regret it.
