Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. It was Christmas time and we happened upon this young vixen on a hike

Time

It was mid day as we enjoyed our Christmas hike. She really wasn't too concerned with us. I snapped a few photos and we were on our way.

Lighting

no special lighting...it was just a beautiful day!

Equipment

I am never without my Canon 7D and my 100-400mm lens when we are in the park...My "go to" wildlife lens!

Inspiration

I love foxes......It never gets old when you come upon these creature...there coats are so bright and full in the winter

Editing

Only post processing to this was a bit of a crop...the lighting was excellent that day and she was such a perfect subject!

In my camera bag

I travel with my Canon 7D and my Canon 5D. I always carry a wide angle and my 100-400 (my go to wildlife lens). I also have my 70-200 f2.8 for any low light situations

Feedback

Patience is key....I spend a lot of time waiting for the right moment with wildlife. Some days you go home empty handed, and some days turn out great!
