This scares the hell outta me!! Which means it's amazing, evokes feeling. What a really great shot.

that was the purpose of this picture, show the raw power, strength, determination, and the menacing look of the protagonists, to the beholder. If I could carry it all to your screen, I was successful! Thank you

Location
This photo was taken in an abandoned factory, where there would be the possibility of the dog can make noise will not disturb anyone and where it was possible to make several frameworks. Visually is a strong place due to debris, fences and abandoned buildings.Time
It was quite early, 6 a.m., I remember that when we arrived, the place was still dark. We did that so we could take a look at the site before the firsts rays of sun. I had several photos in mind and wanted to take advantage of time and light, to make them happen.Lighting
I wanted a powerful image. The light would have to be strong enough but I wanted to have some shadows on the dog as in the man to give a stronger image, heavier, more powerful. So I chose to go early before sunrise to take advantage of the first light of day.Equipment
this was shot with a Canon 6D, a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. I had to be quite mobile due to the dog.Inspiration
I try to learn every day and expose myself to new situations that I am not completely comfortable and can thus explore new angles. I wanted this photo be powerful, wanted the picture to shout loudly, with rage and force that could almost transmit the growling and barking dog to the other side. I wanted to pull the feeling, intrigue, sharing an intense moment of demonstration of brute force that you want to intimidate the beholder. Not leave indifferent those who see the image ... that was the idea. It is a very docile dog, very well trained, very obedient and faithful to the owner. I must say that neither the animal nor the photographer were mistreated either way.Editing
The post-processing was converting the Raw file to black and white, give it a little more brightness and tune the contrast. In my camera bag
On my bag there is my Canon 6D along with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM and a Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM. I always have a tripod and a monopod, which i use very often.Feedback
The best advice i can ever tell to someone is to try to imagine a picture and don´t give up until you have it... To take a photo like this one, try to search a place that can serve your interests an abandoned warehouse, or factory (you must careful) try to know your area see in advance the possible places you can use, and take the most of them. When working with animals have to be careful and patience, because they are animals and besides not fully realize what we're trying to say or do you never know how they will react to certain situations, especially when they're not your own. Best advice of all... have fun!
