Location
This photo was taken while i was hiking on lukenya plains, 15Miles from Nairobi(Kenya's capital City)Time
Photo was taken a few hours after the sun went down. From the lightning i could tell there was going to be a heavy downpour.Lighting
It was a long exposure, I set the camera on a tripod and set the camera on Bulb exposure.Equipment
I had my Nikon d700(i still miss this camera) on a tripod , Lens was a Nikkor 18-35,Inspiration
I have always been fascinate by lightning when growing up.This was one of those trips where i had carried my photography gear hoping that i would get blue skies but the weather ended up being terrible, it rained a few times so i ensured my gear was safe in my backpack. After we pitched our tents i finalyy got a chance to take out my camera for a few shots, had missed the golden hour and the blue hour and instead had these beautiful streaks of light.Editing
For the image i did add a bit of saturation to make the image more dramatic and sort of bring out the power that is associated with LightningIn my camera bag
My DSLR, a lens or 2(i never leave home without a 50mm), a speedlight and triggers and once ina while a tripod, lightstand and umbrella.Feedback
