Location
This photo was taken on board a small boat durning a very special River Nile cruiseTime
It was taken late morning, I'd seen the dragonfly around for a few minutes so grabbed my camera hoping he wouldn't fly off with all the noise I made grabbing the camera.Lighting
Taken in full sunEquipment
The camera was a Kodak DX6490 38-380mm Schneider kreuznach variogon lens full zoom just hand heldInspiration
I loved the little guys colouring, so brightEditing
No post processingIn my camera bag
Canon powers hot XS30 IS and my Samsung Galaxy S7 phoneAlways have a camera to hand as you never know when the opportunity to take a great photo will ariseFeedback
A tripod would be best for such close up shots but there's not always one available so hold the camera with two hands as close in to your body to keep it stable or rest it on something close by such as a flat surface to stop camera shake
